How can you ensure that your paint is at the ideal temperature in cold weather? And can you make even better use of your valuable time? Yes, you can! With FlowControl, you can. Read here to find out how it works.

What do you struggle with in cold weather?

In cold weather, paint is often thicker than desirable. It takes more effort to apply, and especially when cutting and applying paint to edges and corners, it is too thick to flow properly over the surface and be absorbed into the structure of the surface.

Paint that is applied too thickly will cause problems with drying, resulting in unpleasant effects such as wrinkles and an orange peel effect.

Thinning improves flow but causes its own problems. For example, thinned paint will lose its gloss more quickly and you risk sagging and reduced layer thickness, resulting in insufficient protection of the surface.

Measures to take in cold weather:

1. Apply the paint heated, for example with the FlowControl.
2. Work in the footsteps of the sun, starting where the sun has already heated the surface.
3. Screen the workplace from the wind, as this quickly cools both the paint and the surface.
4. If possible, heat the surface with IR lamps.

This not only allows you to work outside on many more days of the year, but also to start much earlier on many days while still applying the paint optimally, i.e. unthinned. Not just in winter, but all year round. Except when it is too damp due to dew.
