Everyone will recognise it: when you put used paint brushes away in water, within a few days all the water with the paint residue in it starts to smell badly. How can you prevent this?
Get to the core; with a cleaner and the right storage pot
Whether the brushes were used with water-based or oil-based paint, that pot of water is bound to smell like a swamp!
You can’t leave a pot of brushes at the customer’s premises because of the smell, so that pot goes into the back of the van and home or to the workplace or construction site. The next day, that whole place stinks of it.
Besides, you don’t want to know what kind of bacteria are brewing in the brush hairs in the meantime. They shouldn’t get into the paintwork! So clean brushes with Brush Cleaner liquid. This stops bacterial growth and prevents stinking water, even if you leave the brushes in it for a while.
If you only have brushes that have been used with water-based paint, you can dilute the liquid with water, so just add a good dash in the water (mixing ratio 1:7). The smell will be a thing of the past.

You can also put the brushes in Store and Go gel, which of course totally helps against smell and keeps the brushes in good shape and condition!
Environmentally friendly solution
With a Brush Cleaner (brush shampoo), pay attention to its formula. Choose one where the paint no longer sticks to the bristles.
Store and Go from GO!PAINT is a bio-based gel (i.e. made of natural ingredients) for preserving paint brushes. After use, simply wipe off the gel with a cloth and you can continue working. No need to rinse.
